You need to be thirteen or older to hold an account and play here.

You need to be eighteen or older to be a pro-gamer on this site. That means anyone who takes money through it in any form: supporter payments, sponsorships or prize money. There is no exception to this and no guardian workaround.

Under eighteen you can still play every bracket, still earn a rank, still appear on the ladder and still beat Nova. You simply cannot be paid until you turn eighteen.

To take money through this site you must be at least eighteen years old and you must show your real name and your real face on your public profile. That applies to supporter payments, sponsorships and prize money alike, and it is not optional.

A patron is paying a person, not a performance. Nova already shows how well a bot can play. Nothing else would stop someone pointing a fleet of bots at the ladder, inventing a roster of gifted players who do not exist, and collecting real money from real fans on their behalf. An adult name and a real face on every account that gets paid is the thing that stops it.

A free account can stay anonymous for as long as it likes. The moment you switch supporters on, list a sponsor, or enter a bracket with money in it, your name and your photo become public and stay public.

One account per person. The league name is yours for as long as you use it. Do not share your login and do not play on somebody else’s account, including a friend’s, because the ladder only means something if the name on it is the person who played.

A paid subscription is what gives you the client pack, the league network ID and Nova. A free account gets none of the three. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, you can cancel at any time from your account settings, and you keep everything until the end of the period you already paid for.

The client pack and the network ID are issued to you, for your own machines. Do not pass them on, post them publicly or resell them. Doing that ends the subscription immediately and without a refund, because it is the one thing that breaks the league for everybody else.

Nova is ours. Playing Nova requires a current subscription in every form, including practice rounds and sparring outside a bracket. Do not extract it, host it, or run it outside the league network.

No maphacks and no third-party assistance. No second account to farm a rank. No losing a match on purpose for money. A reported result without a replay attached does not count. We can void a result, remove a rating, or close an account over any of this.

Your replays, screenshots and profile text stay yours. You give us permission to show them on the site and in league material such as a bracket recap. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to upload.

Prize pools are funded from subscriptions at the share published on the pricing page. Supporter payments go to the player, less the payment processor’s fee. We report what we are required to report. What you owe in tax on any of it is yours to handle, and nothing on this site is tax advice.

StarCraft, Warcraft, Age of Empires and Quake belong to their publishers. Opleague is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them. We do not distribute their games. Where a legal download exists we point you at the publisher, and where one does not we say so.

You can delete your account whenever you like and we will not put an obstacle course in front of the button. We can close an account for cheating, for abuse of other players, or for reselling access, and when we do we will tell you which one it was.

The site is provided as it is. We run it carefully, but we do not promise it will never be down and we are not liable for a bracket you miss. Nothing here is legal or tax advice. These terms are governed by the law of the state the league is operated from.
