Minecraft

A world made of blocks, and half a dozen ways to compete inside it. Which one the league runs is the whole question: a bracket needs two sides and a winner, and Minecraft can give you that or refuse to. Add your name and help pick.

Put your name down for Minecraft

One address, and the counter on this page moves by one. At 50 we build it. Nothing else happens in between.

  • Your vote, counted on the bar you just read
  • One email, the day this game gets its first bracket
  • Nothing else. No newsletter and no drip.

We never sell your address, and every email the league sends has a one-click unsubscribe in it.

Why it is not live yet

Three honest reasons, none of them about money.

We run one game properly

StarCraft is live because it is finished: the client, the bots, the ladder, the replays, the ranks. A second game gets the same treatment or it does not get opened at all.

Minecraft is six games wearing one name

A bracket needs two sides and a winner. Minecraft will give you that in a PvP mode and flatly refuse to in survival, and the two need different servers, different rules and different people. Picking one at random and hoping is how you get a bracket with four entrants in it.

Demand sets the order

Every game waiting on this site is on the same footing. Whichever list fills first is the one that opens first. There is no secret roadmap and no favorite.

Which Minecraft did you mean?

Almost everybody asking for this means one of these three, and they are not the same request. Add your name, then say which one, because the first mode we run is the one this list asks for.

  • Team PvP, the bed-breaking kind Two sides, one winner, a match that ends. The only shape that drops straight into the bracket software the league already runs, and the fastest of the three to open.
  • Speedruns, against the clock Same seed, same target, fastest time takes it. No server to host, results proven by the recording, and it works whether four people enter or four hundred.
  • Builds, judged A brief, a deadline and a vote. The only one of the three that is not a race, which makes it the hardest to score honestly and the one most likely to be worth watching.

What happens when it opens

  1. 01 The mode and the version Which of the three, on Java or on Bedrock, settled with the people on this list before anything is scheduled. One version everybody runs, so nobody loses to a mismatch.
  2. 02 The first bracket Open, free to enter, recordings required. Two weeks of notice so you can clear an evening and get a team together if the mode needs one.
  3. 03 The table A PvP mode can carry a real rating and would join the ladder properly. A speedrun or a build contest gets its own table instead. Which one this becomes is the question above, which is why it is the question above.

StarCraft: Brood War is live right now, with an open bracket most Saturdays and a bot that will beat you if you let it. One account covers every game we add, so nothing you do here is wasted.
